Salary: £60,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements: Extensive experience in a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer role Exposure to Open Source, Containerisation and DevOps methodologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet etc.) Linux OS maintenance, including software rollout procedures and backup software management (RedHat and/or Ubuntu) In-depth experience in technical support across varying hardware and software platforms Ability to understand user requirements and translate them into technical solutions Varied Windows and Linux Operating Systems administration skills Strong networking skills including LAN/WAN and TCP/IP Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware/KVM/QEMU/Xen) Responsibilities: Support and manage server and storage infrastructure across a self-hosted estate to meet Service Level Agreements Develop and transform the virtualised compute platform using a range of virtualisation and container technologies Collaborate with Technical Analysts to maintain Information systems in accordance with agreed priorities and standards Keep documentation up-to-date and assist in training and support for users Investigate user requirements for application and infrastructure changes, designing and implementing solutions Regularly analyse systems for future planned capacity and functionality Support IT development processes for improved products and services Ensure smooth functioning of the IT infrastructure, liaising with multiple teams and stakeholders as required Technologies: Ansible Cloud DevOps Docker Hardware Support Jenkins KVM Kubernetes LAN Linux Puppet QEMU TCP/IP Ubuntu VMware Windows More: We are a forward-thinking company delivering award-winning solutions to our client base, currently advancing our cloud and large-scale technologies.
