ROLE : Project Manager
SALARY : GBP 25,000: GBP 35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE : Permanent
Location: Cornwall
My client designs and manufactures specialist products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team near Cornwall on a permanent basis.
The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
: Experienced Project Manager, ideally with a background in Design / Product Development
: Ideally experience working on Commercial PV Systems
: Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
: PRINCE2 or a similar Project Management qualification would be beneficial but not required
: Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication, welded parts and machining
: Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
: Knowledge of a variety of materials : sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc.
: Be able to read engineering drawings
: Strong leadership skills
: Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
: Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include:
: Lead and Project Manage the Design, Prototyping, Development, Testing and Introduction of new products
: Identifying and managing full lifecycle projects, from bid generation to manufacture and delivery
: Successfully delivering projects on time and on budget
: Working on full lifecycle design projects
: Designing and developing new products
: Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
: Liaising with clients as required keeping them up to date with project progress
: Working with design, purchasing and production departments
: Presenting project plans and reports to management
: Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues
: Maintaining technical documentation as required
: Working in a small, multidisciplined team
