As a member of our exceptional team, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our infrastructure solutions running smoothly. You will respond to incidents, resolve technical problems, optimise performance, minimise security risks, work with specialists to resolve problems quickly, identify patterns and trends, and develop expertise each day. Teamwork is central to your success; you will manage relationships with customers, external teams, suppliers, collaborate with colleagues, translate architect's drawings and data flows, mentor less experienced colleagues, maintain documentation, and introduce the latest technologies to the team.
With significant experience in an agile ITIL environment supporting systems operations in an enterprise setting, you will hold expert Microsoft product certifications. Practise‑level knowledge of programming, hardware, software and cloud systems will be important, and you will have a proven track record of providing effective solutions in a high‑pressured team, possibly from a security‑focused background such as MOD.
Technical Experience
* Experience within Azure/AWS cloud deliverables.
* Administrative knowledge working in a cloud environment.
* Experience with various monitoring applications and reporting tools.
* Core infrastructure knowledge and networking principles.
* Backup solutions such as VEEAM.
* Windows/AD including DNS, Group Policy, PKI certificate authentication.
* Analytical mindset, problem and incident management skills.
* Change and release management experience; knowledge of ITIL4 environments desirable.

Candidate Profile
* Level 3 ICT or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science or relevant experience.
* Agile & ITIL Foundation level or relevant experience.
* Microsoft role‑based certification – Expert and relevant product certifications.
* Ability to manage and mentor junior staff, reporting to Lead Engineer, Service Owners and VIPs.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicate clearly at all user levels.
* Ability to write KBAs, high and low level technical documentation.
* Provide authoritative technical advice and influence teams on best solutions and process improvements.
* Practitioner level knowledge of hardware, software, and systems.
* Substantial experience in an enterprise environment, cloud experience, and working within a secure environment such as MOD.
* Experience in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced team.
Qualifications
