THE ROLE
Are you knowledgeable about camera engineering and equipment? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment?
We are seeking expressions of interest for Junior Camera Assistant roles within the Casualty team.
This role involves supporting the camera department in a challenging and diverse environment, including handling medical drama-specific stunts, storylines, and character development.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting camera team members in their duties.
2. Assisting with rigging, de-rigging, and preparing electronic cameras and equipment.
3. Supporting camera operation according to instructions to meet artistic and technical standards.
4. Assisting with camera mountings and cabling.
5. Resolving operational issues related to camera positions and movements.
6. Helping with equipment movement to maximize efficiency.
7. Understanding new equipment techniques and production demands.
8. Completing camera reports as needed.
9. Following training to assist with rigging, movement, de-rigging, cable running, and safety measures.
What Will It Take?
To succeed, you should demonstrate:
* Knowledge of camera engineering and equipment, with relevant experience.
* Understanding of health & safety guidelines and legislation.
* A valid, clean driving license.
* Knowledge of TV production processes.
* Accuracy and attention to detail in following instructions.
* Willingness to learn and enthusiasm for camera craft.
* Ability to work well with diverse individuals.
