These settings offer structured, nurturing environments where SEN staff can make a genuine impact. You’ll join teamsmitted to helping students with SEMH needs, ADHD, and autism reach their full potential.
What You’ll Be Doing As an SEN Support Assistant, you’ll:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
• Assist with personalised learning plans
• Support emotional regulation, social development andmunication
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• Promote positive behaviour and consistency in the classroom
Each day will be different, offering meaningful opportunities to help pupils build confidence and independence.
What We’re Looking For
• Patient, calm and reliable
• Passionate about SEN support and child development
• Open to training, including autism awareness and SEMH strategies
• Motivated by improving oues for young people
• Experience with supporting people with SEN needs
Desirable (but not essential):
• GCSE/O Level or equivalent
• A driving licence (helpful for some school locations)
