We’re looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join this highly reputable, regional firm with several offices across the South West. Responsibilities
* Provide support to two Commercial Property Partners, including diary management.
* Provide high quality administrative assistance including managing client communications, drafting legal documents (under supervision) when required, prepare files for billing and completion, monitor and prioritise phone calls, emails and post as well as managing digital dictations in a timely, accurate and organised manner.
* Liaise with clients and other relevant parties to keep them informed about the progress of transactions at appropriate times.
Experience / Qualifications
* Proven ability to provide high-quality administrative support, including managing client communications and handling sensitive information with discretion.
* Experience with HMRC, stamp duty returns, and the Land Registry portal.
* Experience drafting legal documents under supervision, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience liaising with clients and other parties to provide updates and ensure smooth progress of legal transactions.
* Familiarity with billing processes and file management within a legal environment is desirable; however, applicants with transferable skills from other sectors will also be considered.
