Quality Controller Location: Grimsby Docks, Grimsby (DN31) Pay:From £12.80 per hour Job description: Our client is an independent seafood business based in Grimsby. With a strong heritage and years of expertise,they specialisein sourcing high-quality fish and producing premium seafood products. Operating from our BRC AA-grade factory at Grimsby Docks, we process fresh fish daily from trusted Scottish and Scandinavian suppliers. Our facility is fully equipped to handle a variety of processing needs, including boneless fillets, steaks, portions, and value-added products such as flavoured and smoked fish. Role Overview Our client is seeking a Quality Controller (QC) to support our factory operations by ensuring product quality and maintaining compliance with BRC regulations and HACCP procedures. Key Responsibilities Carry out quality control duties using our paperless systems Work as part of a team to ensure all technical and legal requirements are met, reporting any issues as necessary Accurately record product statistics and stock transactions using automated systems Support supervisors and the quality team in maintaining health & safety compliance Ensure the factory always remains audit ready Ensure trace-abilitycodes are maintained throughout the production process Assist with dispatch processes, ensuring quality standards are upheld Assist with the implementation of the quality training programme across the site Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in a Quality role (required) Experience in a food production or factory environment (preferred) Strong time management and organisationalskills High level of attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Further training will be provided Working Hours & Benefits Hours: 05:30 AM finish, Monday Friday (typically 3 PM 4 PM), with two 30-minute unpaid breaks (start and finish times will alternate). Overtime Pay: 1.25x for weekends and bank holidays (alternate Saturdays). Holidays: 28 days (including 3 compulsory days for Christmas & New Year bank holidays). Up to 5 extra days available with length of service.
