The department hours are Monday – Friday 08:30-16:30. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, part-time Band 7 Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to lead and develop the Occupational Therapy team within the Institute of Neurological Science (INS) at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. INS is a busy regional Neuroscience unit providing specialist Neurosurgical, Neurological, and Maxillofacial surgery for the West of Scotland.
Candidates should have a keen interest and experience in the acute management of neurological patients. The role involves leading a small team of Occupational Therapists responsible for a highly complex and varied caseload. Expertise in managing patients with physical and cognitive deficits is essential, and maxillofacial surgery experience would be advantageous. The team is supported by therapy support workers shared with physiotherapy, with strong multidisciplinary team working.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, along with a proactive and dynamic attitude, are required. The department values personal and service development and education of staff, support workers, and students.
Applicants must hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy, current HCPC registration, and relevant postgraduate courses or CPD. PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check is required.
