They are now seeking a High Voltage Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team in a role that offers real progression, responsibility, and earning potential.
This position is ideally suited to:
An Authorised Person (AP) ready to progress into Senior Authorised Person (SAP), or
An experienced HV Engineer seeking formal appointment and leadership responsibility.
The Role
You will take technical and operational responsibility for the maintenance of 11kV and associated LV electrical systems across multiple high-security environments, including MOD bases and high-security prisons.
Projects are typically located between Birmingham, Norwich, and the South of England. This role involves regular staying away - fully supported and financially rewarded.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of engineers
Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
Technical responsibility for:
HV switchgear
Power transformers
Protection systems
Cabling and earthing
HV/LV interfaces
Ensure full compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards
Provide leadership and technical direction on critical infrastructure systems
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Proven HV/LV maintenance experience across all aspects of HV systems and associated LV networks
Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
Strong safety, compliance, and procedural knowledge
Relevant recognised electrical qualifications
Professional approach to working in high-security environments
Package & Benefits
Salary: £58,000 - £65,000 per annum (negotiable for the right candidate)
OTE: £80,000+
