Hours: 37.5 hours Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm
The Recruitment Group is working with a market leading co-packer, with over 30 years of experience, they provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing and co-manufacturing solutions. They are now looking for an experienced Production Line Leader to join their growing team.
Purpose of the Production Team Leader Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Line Leader to manage production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets, and in accordance with QA and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities for a Production Team Leader:
1. Effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets, acting as a role model for best practice
2. Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI) and effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis
3. Effectively use the integrated management system (Vision) ensuring all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures
4. Adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations
5. Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external
6. Liaise with agency controllers on a day to day basis providing feedback regarding agency workers
7. Attend team leader meetings and play an active part in continuous improvement
8. Assist in the training and development of new starters, conduct RTW and disciplinary interviews as required, and participate in the companies appraisal system
9. Monitor, control and minimise waste
10. Drive own personal development through training and work based experience
Key Requirements for a Production Team Leader:
11. Experience of working within a manufacturing/production/FMCG environment
12. Organisational and leadership abilities
13. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
14. Problem-solving skills
15. Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner
16. Meet standards required for internal and external audits
17. Experienced in the use of integrated management system
18. Quality & H&S experience
