Overview
Driving is required for this role (UK Driving Licence). Our staff support adults with mental ill-health conditions and learning disabilities in a care home environment, including supporting with daily living skill development, personal care, community-based activities, and working with some behaviours which may present as challenging.
Our clients require care 24/7; therefore weekend work is required but with a shared responsibility to give you some free weekend time, ensuring clients always receive the support they need. Shift patterns are 7.5 hours on a 37.5 hour contract.

Support adults with mental ill-health conditions and learning disabilities in a care home setting, including assistance with daily living skills, personal care and facilitating community-based activities. Work with individuals who may present challenging behaviours and contribute to creating a safe and respectful environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
• UK driving licence and ability to drive as part of the role.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction and no sponsorship required.
• Experience welcomed; NVQ 2 and relevant experience are encouraged. If you are new to the care industry but motivated to make a positive impact, full training is provided and NVQ offered on passing probation.
• Commitment to professional development and willingness to engage in ongoing training.

Additional Information
Ashington House is a registered care home with 7 residents who receive support from our friendly staff. We are a large care company that maintains a warm family feel, with regular supervision, coaching and mentoring for our staff. We keep our homes small for a personal touch and provide a person-centred approach. We aim to support residents to live as independently as possible and offer training opportunities to ensure staff have the skills needed to help residents live a safe, structured and fulfilled lifestyle.
