As General Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the club's operations, sales, member experience, and team development. You'll create a welcoming culture where everyone feels at home and can achieve their fitness goals whilst ensuring operationally, the club maintains health and safety standards and audit compliance and looks great!
Key Responsibilities
* Run the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and passing head office audits.
* Lead your team to create a positive, welcoming culture where members are motivated to achieve their goals.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies (social media, local events, corporate partnerships) to bring in new members and retain them.
* Drive sales, setting clear goals and creating a performance-driven environment.
* Build strong relationships with local businesses and corporate partners to drive membership growth and community engagement.
* Monitor and adapt to local competition, keeping your club ahead of the curve.
* Operate with a business-owner mentality, treating the club as your own and maintaining a calm head in all situations.
* Prove a track record as an experienced GM or standout AGM who has successfully worked with owners/shareholders and knows what it takes to run a successful fitness business.
* Be sales-driven and customer-focused, inspiring your team to hit targets and deliver a world-class experience for every member.
* Be proactive, thriving in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative and constantly seeking ways to improve the business.
* Be tech‑savvy and creative, comfortable with social media, digital campaigns, and using IT to drive leads and sales.
