What youll be doing As a Warehouse Shift Co-ordinator, your role will be to ensure the operation runs smoothly, safely and efficiently every single day. You will be the person who brings structure to busy shifts, keeps communication flowing and supports the team to perform at their best. This is not a people management role, although you will step in, in absence of the Shift Manager, but day to day you will: Set clear daily priorities and coordinate shift activities Oversee both inbound and outbound operations to keep shipments on schedule Ensure high standards of health & safety, compliance and site security Support the Shift Leader with reporting, SOP adherence and performance tracking Monitor load efficiencies and operational KPIs to maximise productivity and profitability Lead pre-shift briefings and end of shift handovers to keep everyone aligned Coach, mentor and develop team members to build a strong workforce Manage driver interactions, staff absences and bay and trailer movements Ensure all consignments are handled accurately, safely and in the right condition Investigate incidents and help implement preventative measures to keep everyone safe We are looking for someone who combines operational experience with strong people skills, someone who can stay calm under pressure, make confident decisions and bring out the best in their team. Experience required: Previous experience supervising or leading a team within a warehouse environment Excellent communication skills Strong organisational and time management abilities A proactive, solutions focused mindset Confidence when handling conflict and sensitive situations calmly and fairly Good IT skills and the ability to work across multiple systems
