About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Liverpool area. Secondary English Teacher
Location: Liverpool, L13
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Type: Temporary, long term
Working Hours: Full-time, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Pay: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and delivering lessons: Creating engaging lesson plans that cover reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
* Assessing student progress: Evaluating homework, exams, and classroom participation to track improvement.
* Building relationships: Establishing trust with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment.
* Encouraging communication skills: Helping students develop confidence in expressing themselves through discussions, presentations, and writing exercises.
* Providing feedback: Offering constructive criticism to help students refine their language skills.
* Adapting teaching methods: Using different strategies to accommodate various learning styles and needs.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
* Right to Work in the UK.
* Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
* Ability to provide two professional references.
