Responsibilities
This fast-paced and varied role sits within our Planning Services Team, within the Inclusive Growth, Planning and Development service area. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the service in investigating and managing a caseload of alleged breaches of planning control. The borough is a mix of urban settings, market towns, and rural areas, and the team works across commercial, residential, and environmental projects. You will be engaging with the public, Council Members, and external stakeholders, and will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in conflict resolution and influencing positive outcomes.
Work involves investigating and managing regulatory, investigatory or compliance matters and collaborating across departments and with external partners to deliver outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
You will bring to the role:
* Relevant experience in a regulatory, investigative or compliance environment.
* The ability to manage conflict, influence and negotiate effectively to deliver outcomes.
* A customer-focused, proactive approach and ability to manage a diverse caseload.
