About The Role
Job Purpose The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the smooth operation of all plant and equipment within the facility. You will maintain, troubleshoot and repair machinery, systems and equipment to maintain safety functionality, maximise production efficiency, minimise downtime whilst following site HSEQ standards and guidelines. Key Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities
1. Maintenance Activities
Perform preventive and reactive maintenance troubleshooting as required to resolve automation, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues on site machinery and equipment as determined by the Maintenance Delivery Manager.
2. Compliance and Safety
Ensure all work adheres to the sites HSEQ procedures, policies and standards.
Conduct task risk assessments and follow health, safety, and environmental policies.
3. Technical Support
Assist with the installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment.
Interpret technical drawings and documentation for troubleshooting and repairs.
4. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide reports to the Maintenance Delivery Manager.
5. Collaboration and Communication
Attend safety, production and team meetings as required.
Work and communicate closely with other engineering teams and the production teams to ensure efficient operations.
Ensure detailed hand backs and handovers are completed for every task and end of shift.
6. Training and Development
Participate in training identified by the business to meet legislation, enhance skills and knowledge.

8. Support operations at Hop Hub or other sites as required.
9. Stand in for Maintenance Delivery Manager as required.

10. Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
11. Comply with safe working practices as defined by BrewDog
12. Complete online or face to face training as and when required

14. Report any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as reasonably practicable.

17. Cooperate with other BrewDog departments to achieve a great experience for our customers, applicants, colleagues, and contractors
18. Attend training courses and complete online training modules as required to meet the requirements of the role

20. Undertake any other duties as requested which are reasonably deemed to be within the scope of the role or necessary for the smooth running of the business

About You
Qualifications & Specific Training SVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent qualification. Experience
23. Proven experience in a maintenance role within the food and beverage or a similar high-paced manufacturing environment.
24. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documentation and drawings.
25. Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and automation failures.
26. Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and control systems is highly desirable.
27. Familiarity with food safety standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP.
Knowledge
28. Strong understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP) and industry best practices.
29. In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
30. Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and work orders.
Skills
31. Strong problem-solving abilities and diagnostic skills.
32. Excellent teamworking and good communication skills (both verbal and written) to liaise effectively with production teams and external stakeholders.
33. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
