Applicants must be qualified RMN, Learning Disability Nurse, or an Acute Nurse in the final year of their RMN/LD/RGN course. It is important to have an understanding of multidisciplinary services and the challenges faced by children and young people with mental health issues. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will engage with very vulnerable children and their families. You should demonstrate care, compassion, and a commitment to upholding the dignity of the patients you support.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Essential: Registered Nurse and/or Registered Mental Health Nurse and/or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse
* Desirable: Mentorship qualification
Experience and Knowledge
* Essential: Experience with research-based/reflective practice, understanding supervision to reflect on skills, attitude, and knowledge, and developing these through evidence-based practice. Knowledge of relevant professional and clinical legislation.
* Desirable: Experience in shift coordination; supervising and mentoring junior staff and students.
Skills and Abilities
* Essential: Ability to provide quality, responsive care without close supervision; resilience to handle difficult interpersonal situations; self-awareness, confidence, motivation; effective relationships with colleagues; advocacy for individuals with protected characteristics; promotion of equality and diversity.
* Desirable: IT skills; supervision skills; providing critical and constructive feedback.
Other Requirements
* Essential: Empathy for service users, loyalty, advocacy, alignment with organizational values, flexibility to work shifts across 24 hours, 7 days a week, and across all clinical areas within the Trust; physical ability to fulfill role requirements.
