About the job:
As the Mid-Market Team Manager, you’ll lead a team of talented underwriters, working closely with Senior Underwriters to ensure the team meets its goals. Your role will be to guide the team in delivering excellent Customer service and solutions in the market, fostering profitable growth, and enhancing capabilities—all while maintaining governance and team engagement. You should be comfortable making quick decisions, managing priorities, and building lasting relationships.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Leadership & People Skills: You’re a natural leader who can inspire, communicate clearly, listen actively, and negotiate effectively.
2. Insurance Industry Experience: Essential—solid background in the Insurance Industry.
3. Commercial Underwriting Experience: Preferred—experience across Property, Casualty, Construction, or Motor.
4. Industry Connections: Strong relationships in the market that you can leverage.
5. Analytical & Presentation Skills: Ability to analyse risk and confidently present solutions to brokers and clients.
