In delivering a first-class admissions and recruitment service for the University’s applicants, offering official and professional advice directly to applicants, whilst ensuring the quality of service is constantly improving.
You will be a subject matter expert in qualifications acceptable for entrance and appropriate applicant assessment. The core of the role involves dealing with a wide range of applications to the University making decisions on both undergraduate and postgraduate applications against set entry criteria, and for building / maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues in academic areas. The role holder will need to develop a detailed understanding of both international and UK qualifications (for undergraduate and postgraduate entry) and of UKVI and UCAS practice and regulation. To practice an inclusive approach and support building an inclusive university community where people can be themselves.
You will work both independently and collaboratively, coordinating closely with academic departments and your Faculty to deliver smooth, timely, and compliant admissions operations. Strong communication, accuracy, and excellent customer service will be central to your success in this role.
As a key member of the Imperial Admissions team, you will:
1. Assess student applications, including evaluating academic qualifications, determining fee status, and reviewing immigration requirements in line with University policies and external regulations.
2. Record, code, and transmit admissions decisions, issue offers, and verify documentation submitted in fulfilment of offer conditions.
3. Support applicants and academic colleagues by developing expert knowledge of the application and admissions process, maintaining updated understanding of policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
4. Build strong working relationships with department and Faculty contacts, providing reliable and informed support throughout the admissions cycle.
5. Assist with events including Open Days, and support the Enquiries Team as required.
6. Provide responsive and effective administrative support for appeals‑related investigations and other University processes.
7. Contribute flexibly across the wider MORA team during peak periods, supporting core University activities such as Registration, Graduation, or student-facing events.
8. Maintain accurate records, follow internal procedures, uphold confidentiality, and comply with all relevant University policies including Data Protection and Health & Safety.
9. Continuously develop your skills and expertise to support the delivery of consistent, high-quality admissions services.
