In November 2023, MMB secured its first-ever framework with South West Water, serving 1.8 million customers across Cornwall, Devon, the Isles of Scilly, and parts of Dorset and Somerset. The multi-million-pound AMP8 contract runs for five years until 2029, with a potential extension of another five years, marking our first project delivery in south-west England with innovative solutions.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that benefit the environment and communities by enhancing water and wastewater treatment systems. You will oversee electrical functions throughout project lifecycles, from concept to commissioning, ensuring meticulous integration of electrical aspects.
The role of a Principal Electrical Engineer includes:
* Leading and overseeing electrical design, planning, and execution on projects.
* Providing design support, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.
* Collaborating with commercial, operational, and construction teams for practical and safe solutions.
* Managing client relationships and adopting a team approach.
* Managing interfaces and integrating process design with other disciplines.
* Acting as a technical checker and reviewer on project documents.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements, standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools.
* Conducting site reviews for buildability and system integration.
* Supporting the mechanical engineering team through coaching and resource planning.
What you’ll need:
* A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Experience in delivering high-quality outputs aligned with standards.
* Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel to operational sites.
