Senior Laboratory Technician - Experienced in Construction Materials Testing

Our client is a leading European provider of analytical testing services across air, water, soils, aggregates, bituminous and cementitious construction materials. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Laboratory Technician who has knowledge and experience of Construction Materials or Geotechnical Testing to join their established materials testing team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on laboratory environment and takes real pride in producing accurate, reliable, high‑quality data. You will be responsible for testing soils, aggregates and asphalts, supporting a wide range of construction and civil engineering projects.
Important Eligibility Note
Due to the technical nature of this position, we cannot consider applicants whose experience is solely within chemical, biological, histology or unrelated laboratory fields. Only candidates with direct construction materials or geotechnical testing experience will be shortlisted.
Key Responsibilities
Perform laboratory testing on soils, aggregates, asphalts and other construction materials in line with industry standards
Ensure all testing is completed accurately, efficiently and within required timeframes and to required quality standards
Maintain high levels of quality control and adhere to strict laboratory procedures
Record, analyse and report test results with precision
Support junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement within the lab
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performanceRequired Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates Ned to have the following have:
Proven experience working specifically with construction materials testing (soils, aggregates, asphalt, bituminous or cementitious materials) or geotechnical background.
Strong understanding of relevant testing standards and methodologies
Hands‑on laboratory experience in a commercial or technical testing environment
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality data Whats on Offer
