Salary: £27,711 - £32,654 (full-time equivalent, pro rata depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and experienced kitchen leader looking to make a real impact? Wise Employment are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic School Kitchen Manager to join a fantastic school in Paignton, managing a team of 4. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the health and wellbeing of young children by providing healthy, high-quality meals every school day.
* Oversee the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals (up to 300 meals per day)
* Plan menus and order food and supplies in line with budget and school policies
* Responsible for working with specific dietary requirements and food allergies
* Manage kitchen staff, including training, rotas, and performance
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness
* Keep accurate records of stock, cash handling, and kitchen operations
* Work closely with the School Business Manager and Headteacher to ensure smooth running of the catering service
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience managing a kitchen or catering operation
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
* Preferably a Level 3 First Aid qualification
* Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure
* Experience of budgeting
