Job Title: Skilled / Semi-Skilled Cabinet Maker Location: East Hull Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 5:45pm Overtime: Fridays & Saturdays available upon agreement OT Job Overview We are currently seeking a skilled or semi-skilled Cabinet Maker to join our production team within the caravan manufacturing sector. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with a strong background in woodworking, cabinetry, or furniture assembly. You will be responsible for crafting and installing high-quality cabinetry and interior fittings that meet precise specifications and contribute to the overall finish of our products. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and layout plans to understand project requirements. Select appropriate materials such as timber, laminates, and hardware for cabinet construction. Cut, shape, and assemble wood and composite materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. Install cabinetry and fittings into caravan interiors with precision and attention to detail. Apply finishing techniques including sanding, staining, sealing, and edge banding to achieve a high-quality finish. Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets design specifications and production standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., electrical, plumbing, upholstery) to ensure seamless integration of components. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the build process, making adjustments as needed. Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in cabinet making, joinery, or furniture assembly (minimum 1-2 years for semi-skilled; 3 years for skilled). Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery (e.g., saws, routers, drills, sanders). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity; ability to lift and handle materials safely. Understanding of finishing techniques and materials.
