The Role
Working alongside experienced conveyancers and solicitors, you'll play a key role in delivering efficient, client-focused residential property services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with residential property transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
* Drafting key legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements
* Communicating with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other legal professionals to maintain case progression
* Ordering and reviewing property searches
* Preparing SDLT returns and submitting applications to the Land Registry
* Managing post-completion work and maintaining accurate case records
* Ensuring all work complies with internal and regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with a blend of legal knowledge, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate will have:
* At least 12 months' experience in a conveyancing support or assistant role
* Familiarity with residential conveyancing workflows
* Confidence using case management systems and digital tools
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* A professional and approachable attitude
* The ability to work well both independently and within a team
Desirable:
* Experience with AML and compliance processes
* Familiarity with digital conveyancing platforms and portals
* A genuine interest in developing within residential property law
