Business Intelligence Analyst - Commercial Portfolios Location: London (Head Office) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm Working Pattern: Hybrid (50/50) Reports to: Head of Analytics & Insights Department: Finance - Business Intelligence About the Role We're looking for a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team, supporting our Development Finance, Wholesale and Asset Finance businesses. This role sits at the heart of how data informs decisionmaking across the bank. You'll work across the full reporting lifecycle - from requirements gathering and development through to insight generation - helping the business make smarter, dataled decisions. You'll also play a key role in evolving our analytics capability, championing best practice and supporting advanced analytics and AI initiatives. Key Responsibilities Analytics & Business Intelligence Deliver analytics, BI and reporting support to Development Finance, Wholesale and Asset Finance Lead and promote a datafirst approach across the business Develop deep expertise in HTB's data platform and reporting landscape Design, build and maintain highquality dashboards, reports and visualisations Continuously enhance reporting through automation and optimisation Data Analysis & Insight Write and optimise SQL queries to extract data from core banking systems Perform adhoc analysis to support commercial and operational decisions Analyse data to identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve performance Support KPI design and development to ensure meaningful performance tracking Change & Transformation Support change and transformation projects from a data and reporting perspective Ensure data integrity and reporting quality across new initiatives Contribute to advanced analytics and AI projects aligned to the bank's analytics strategy Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver fitforpurpose reporting Partner with IT, Data Platform and Transformation teams to deliver joinedup solutions Engage with external data providers and technology partners where required Who You'll Work With You'll collaborate with: Business Intelligence & Analytics colleagues Development Finance, Wholesale & Asset Finance teams Finance, Treasury, Risk and FP&A teams Data Platform, IT and Transformation teams External data, technology and analytics partners What We're Looking For Qualifications & Experience Extensive experience in Business Intelligence, analytics or MI roles Background in Banking or Financial Services Strong SQL capability, working with large and complex databases Advanced Tableau experience (dashboards, analytics and visualisation) Expertlevel Excel skills Proven ability to deliver insight that drives business value Degree in a numerate, scientific or financerelated discipline Desirable Experience with Power BI Experience working in agile environments and using Jira Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL principles Experience working with external data sources and assessing data quality Skills & Attributes Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data quality Ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proactive, selfmotivated and comfortable working at pace Strong stakeholder management and relationshipbuilding skills Benefits Competitive salary Discretionary annual bonus Hybrid working (50/50) 25 days annual leave (increasing with service) Holiday Buy Scheme Private Medical Insurance (Bupa) Mental health & wellbeing support via YuLife & Bupa Pension scheme - 8% employer contribution (noncontributory) Cycle to Work & Green Car Schemes Interestfree season ticket loan Study support & professional memberships Annual volunteering day & Net Zero commitment YuLife Rewards - retail, lifestyle & experience discounts If you're a datadriven BI professional who enjoys turning insight into impact and working at the heart of a specialist bank, we'd love to hear from you.
