They are looking for a passionate and dedicated SENCO to lead and manage their SEND provision, ensuring that all pupils receive the support they need to thrive in an inclusive, supportive environment. This role begins September 2025.
Duties as a SENCO Teacher:
1. Oversee the identification and support of students with SEND across the school
2. Lead and coordinate the development of EHCPs and annual reviews
3. Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for inclusive education
4. Monitor and track progress of students with SEND, adapting interventions as needed
5. Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure effective communication and support
6. Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and contribute to school improvement initiatives
Ideal SENCO Teacher:
1. Hold (or be working towards) the National Award for SEN Coordination
2. Have experience working with children with a variety of SEND
3. Possess a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and its application
4. Be organised, proactive, and able to lead effectively
5. Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and external agencies
