SEN Maths Teacher
Location: Preston
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Hours: 0800 – 1600
Pay: £140 – £185
Start Date: December
We are looking for qualified and enthusiastic Maths Teacher for a brilliant independent SEMH provision in Preston. This provision supports a mixture of primary and secondary aged students that possess complex emotional and behavioural needs. These students are disengaged from mainstream education, and some have chaotic lifestyles and trauma.
You will be teaching Maths up to KS4, however some of the students operate at a lower attainment level than is expected of their age.
Your Role as a Teacher
1. As a Teacher, you will:
2. Lead and teach small classes of students
3. Manage the emotional, educational and behavioural needs of students
4. Adapt work and learning to suit the needs of each pupil
5. Encourage positive participation, focus and confidence in lessons
6. Develop a robust curriculum to support learners
7. Contribute to a calm, safe and inclusive school environment
We’re Looking For
8. Fully qualified (QTS) teacher
9. Experience in teaching students with additional needs
10. A proactive and patient approach
11. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
12. Good communication and teamwork skills
13. Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
14. Robust and comfortable with challenging behaviour
