A social welfare campaign seeks a Head of External Affairs.
Hybrid work with a minimum of two days a week in the Oxford office.
The role:
* To create and implement a robust parliamentary and public affairs strategy – ensuring that the voices of those being represented are heard at the highest levels
* To play an active role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s strategic and operational priorities,
* To establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, Members of Parliament, and other key stakeholders to influence policy and practice.
* To position the organisations as a trusted partner to government and to key partners, fostering collaboration to build resilience and drive change.
The candidate:
* Experience and Leadership: A proven leader with significant experience in public affairs, policy, or external relations, ideally within the charity or government sectors.
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive public affairs strategy aligned with organisational goals and external policy landscapes.
* Relationship Building: Strong ability to establish and maintain relationships with government, parliamentarians, and sector stakeholders.
* Influence and Advocacy: A track record of successfully influencing policy with tangible examples of achievements to point towards.
