Summary
As directed, leads and coordinates daily support operations within a single clinical area. Performs tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient flow management, clinical reception, area ambience, and clinician support. Ensures the department meets performance standards and identifies solutions to operational barriers. Serves as the local point person for providers and staff and may help manage department budgets.
Responsibilities
 * Lead and coordinate daily operational activities within one clinical area.
 * Schedule patient and provider appointments.
 * Manage patient flow and clinical reception.
 * Support clinicians and maintain area ambience.
 * Identify gaps and recommend solutions to improve performance.
 * Coordinate with providers and staff as the local point person.
 * Assist in developing, monitoring, and managing the department budget.
Education & Certifications
 * High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC).
 * Associate’s degree preferred.
 * American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
 * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), if required by specialty.
Experience
Requires knowledge of medical support functions in an ambulatory setting, typically acquired through 3 years in a medical support role (e.g., medical assistant) in an outpatient facility.
Skills
 * Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical professionals.
 * Ability to make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
 * Leadership potential.
Salary & Benefits
