About The Role
Looking for a kitchen role thats more than just cooking?
The Brink Cafà in Liverpool city centre is on the hunt for a talented Casual Chef to whip up fresh, healthy, homemade food for our cafà and special events. Work Saturdays, with occasional weekday cover and ad hoc evenings, perfect for chefs who love variety and creativity.
At The Brink, youll be part of a unique, award:winning dry cafà bar thats a safe, welcoming space for the Recovery Community while serving the general public. Its a place where food, creativity, and community come together, and where your skills can make a real difference.
What Youll Be Doing
* Prep, cook, and serve delicious cafà dishes and event menus
* Work independently in the kitchen while maintaining high standards
* Support volunteers and share your kitchen know:how
* Keep the kitchen spotless, cleaning, stock rotation, and HACCP records
* Assist with ordering, stock management, and menu improvements
* Collaborate with the front:of:house team to ensure smooth service
* Promote The Brinks services, events, and wellbeing activities
Please note this is a casual contract : no set working hours or working pattern. This is a 0:hour position, with work offered as and when needed to cover staff annual leave, sickness, and events. Please also note that availability to work every Saturday is required as part of this role.
About You
* Experienced in kitchen operations and food hygiene
* Highly organised with great timekeeping
* Confident cooking solo and supervising volunteers
* Passionate about fresh, healthy food and great customer experiences
* Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and special events
