Overview
West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county on eight separate sites and two peripatetic services, providing education and intervention for pupils who are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or too ill to attend school. Our ethos is to provide FOCUS (Future, Opportunities, Curriculum, Us, School) for our pupils to re‑engage them in their learning and support re‑integration to mainstream provision.

Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the creation and delivery of internal communications, newsletters, SharePoint updates and social media content.
* Helping celebrate staff successes and strengthening our organisational culture.
* Drafting, editing and proofreading people‑focused communications, including content for senior leaders.
* Maintaining communication channels and ensuring information is accurate, timely and approved.
* Providing HR administrative support, including handling routine enquiries and maintaining accurate records.
* Supporting recruitment processes, including advertising roles, communicating with candidates and coordinating interviews.
* Managing pre‑employment checks and supporting onboarding and induction activities.
* Working flexibly within the HR team to ensure smooth operation of people processes across all centres.
Qualifications & Skills
* Has strong writing skills and an eye for detail.
* Enjoys working with digital platforms such as Office 365, websites, and content management systems.
* Is organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.
* Communicates clearly and professionally with a wide range of people.
* Handles sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
* Works well both independently and as part of a team.
* Shares our commitment to safeguarding, equality and positive staff experience.
* Experience in HR, communications or administration is desirable—but what matters most is a positive attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to follow consistent processes.
