The Role – Behaviour Mentor
We are seeking a confident and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic Secondary SEMH school on a long-term basis. This is a highly rewarding opportunity working as Behaviour Mentor to make a real impact, providing both 1:1 intervention and in-class support for students with SEMH, ASD, and challenging behaviour.
In this Behaviour Mentor role, you will play a key part in supporting students to regulate their emotions, improve behaviour, and re-engage with learning. As a Behaviour Mentor will work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored behavioural and emotional support, helping students build resilience, develop positive coping strategies, and achieve their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.
The ideal Behaviour Mentor will be calm, resilient, and patient, with a strong ability to build positive and trusting relationships with young people. A proactive mindset and confidence in managing challenging behaviour are essential for this Behaviour Mentor role. Team Teach training is highly desirable for this role.
