Groundcare Hire Fleet Manager
Seeking an experienced and motivated Groundcare Hire Fleet Manager to join our team at my client's head office site. In this role, you will be responsible for driving hire equipment sales across the region, managing an active customer base, and identifying opportunities to grow market share.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the hire fleet, ensuring accurate tracking, maintenance records, and timely servicing in collaboration with the Groundcare Sales PDI department.
* Install, demonstrate, and advise customers on machinery as required.
* Liaise with the Used Machinery Sales Manager regarding the disposal of fixed assets.
* Prepare budgets and control costs associated with the hire fleet.
* Develop new business and identify opportunities to grow hire revenue.
* Maintain and manage existing customer accounts, taking bookings, negotiating hire rates, and providing excellent customer service.
* Promote the Company’s image and products positively at all times.
* Work with the Marketing Department to keep the hire brochure up to date.
* Ensure administrative processes are accurate, detailed, and up to date.
* Produce and review performance reports, and take proactive steps to achieve targets.
* Maintain a professional, smart appearance and ensure company vehicle is clean, tidy, and safe.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong knowledge of the Groundcare industry and its equipment.
* Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
* Target-driven with effective upselling and negotiation skills.
* Ability to build relationships, influence, and close sales effectively.
* Experience managing hire fleets, including maintenance and record-keeping.
* Competent with IT, reporting systems, and administrative tasks.
* Excellent customer service skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate as part of a team.
* Good general health and fitness.
* Full driving licence essential, with the ability to tow a trailer.
* Smart and professional in appearance.
Desirable:
* Background in golf course maintenance, hire companies, construction, landscaping, or other relevant industries.
* Practical experience using, maintaining, or repairing groundcare equipment.
Additional Information
* Location: Essex
* Hours: 42.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch). Occasional Saturdays required.
