Deputy Manager - Residential Dementia Care Home (Maidstone) Salary: £15 per hour Hours: 44 hours per week Setting: 20 bedded Residential Dementia Service Shifts: 2 shifts on the floor per week office‑based duties We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a well‑established residential dementia care home in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care and supporting the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the service. About the Role As the Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the home. You will work both on the floor and in the office, supporting staff, overseeing care delivery, and maintaining compliance with CQC standards. This role is ideal for a Senior Carer or Team Leader looking to step up, or an existing Deputy Manager seeking a new challenge. Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager with daily operations and service management Lead by example on the floor during 2 weekly shifts Oversee care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures Support staff supervision, training and development Ensure high standards of person‑centred dementia care Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with CQC regulations Build positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals Assist with rota planning, audits and quality assurance Requirements Experience in residential or dementia care Previous supervisory or senior care experience Strong understanding of CQC standards and compliance Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work both on the floor and in an office‑based capacity Passion for delivering high‑quality dementia care What We Offer Competitive hourly rate of £15 per hour 44‑hour working week Mix of floor‑based and office‑based responsibilities Supportive management team Opportunities for career development and progression If you are a motivated and compassionate leader looking to take the next step in your career, please apply now.
