Job Title: Hairdressing Lecturer Location: Newcastle College, Scotswood Road, NE4 7SA Contract: Part-time, Temporary (starting 1st October) Duration: Approximately 4 weeks Agency: The Supply Register Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications) Job Summary: The Supply Register is currently seeking a dedicated Hairdressing Lecturer to join Newcastle College on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Level 2 Hairdressing to learners, helping them to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for progression in the industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified hairdressing professional with teaching experience to inspire and support students in achieving their learning goals. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging lessons in Level 2 Hairdressing, both practical and theory-based. Support learners in developing salon-ready skills and industry knowledge. Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and support to ensure learner success. Maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievement. Create a safe, inclusive, and professional learning environment. Requirements: A Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing. A recognised teaching qualification (PTLLS or equivalent; Assessor’s Award also considered). Previous experience teaching or assessing hairdressing is desirable. Strong communication and organisational skills. A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one through The Supply Register).
