The Role: The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of production operations. Working within a dedicated engineering team, the successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to maintaining, repairing and improving a range of machinery and equipment to minimise downtime and support production targets. Responsibilities of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer include: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Respond promptly to repair requests, prioritising critical equipment to maintain production performance. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement. Work collaboratively with production and other departments, ensuring safety standards and operational targets are consistently met. Requirements of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer include: Previous experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong understanding of Health & Safety and lean manufacturing principles (e.g. 5S, continuous improvement). Confident in using maintenance systems and tools, with solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Relevant technical qualifications (e.g. GCSEs, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent), with 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations advantageous.
