Job Purpose To provide safe, timely, and effective clinical care within East Kent Urgent Treatment Centres based at WHH, KCH and QEQM.
You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting via NHS 111 bookings, A&E redirections, and walk-ins, working collaboratively with nursing, reception, and allied professionals under the East Kent UTC Alliance.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Deliver face-to-face consultations and urgent care for patients presenting with acute or minor illness and injury.
Undertake clinical assessments, investigations, and management plans in line with UTC clinical pathways.
Provide advice to patients and referrers on appropriate care, treatment, and safety-netting.
Liaise with A&E teams, community services, and primary care partners to ensure seamless care.
Maintain accurate clinical records on CLEO and EMIS systems and complete statutory documentation promptly.
Flexibility and Technical Requirements UTC GPs must be flexible to work rotational sessions including evenings, overnights and weekends on a 24/7 basis.
IC24 places a strong emphasis on digital systems basic competence with CLEO, EMIS, Outlook and mobile devices is required (training provided).
