UK Business Development Manager for the Food & Beverage Sector shall proactively identify and nurture opportunities and leads, respond in a timely and accurate manner to quote requests, conduct customer visits and negotiations and close sales. According to predefined goals and targets, the successful candidate shall develop their own plans and actions by generating quotes & delivering sales.
The key areas of responsibility are:
1. Proactively identifying, generating and nurturing opportunities & leads
2. Monitoring and actively following up on opportunities, leads and outstanding quotations and ensuring an up-to-date funnel
3. Proactively performing sales interactions (face to face and virtual) and providing information to potential customers
4. Preparing quotations and making sure won contracts are signed, complying to DNV procedures and authorizations
5. Keeping the CRM-system up to date with all relevant account, opportunity and quote related information
6. Ensuring all sales related customer information (including quotes) professionally present DNV, our services, our USP’s and added value
7. Contributing positively to teambuilding processes by being committed to unit targets, the wider sales team and all Business Assurance colleagues
8. Bringing a solution minded attitude towards customers
Position Qualifications:
9. Good level of sales experience, with an ability to meet and exceed targets
10. Working knowledge of business assurance/ 3rd party auditing required.
11. High level understanding of the UK Food and Beverage industry, it’s supply chain and the relevant Management Systems Standards (. BRC, FSSC 22000 would be ideal.
12. Excellent English communication skills - both written and verbal.
13. Pro-active and dynamic approach to daily sales tasks.
14. Ability to handle internal and external customer needs in a professional manner and in keeping with DNV’s values
15. Able to work both independently as well as in a team
16. Capable to work under pressure and handle on-going projects in a structured and highly accurate manner
17. Desire and willingness to learn and develop
18. Experience in working with various IT tools and platforms
