Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon
Location: Park Vet Group, Glenfield, Leicester
Job Type: Permanent, full-time and part-time applications welcomed (flexible working patterns can be discussed)
Hours: 40 hours over an optional 4-5 days with a 1:4 Saturday rota (8:30 am‑2 pm and 1:15 pm Sunday 8 am‑7 pm paid extra) no nights, we have a dedicated night team!
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. Welcome bonus and relocation package available!
An exciting opportunity to join our Glenfield Tier 3 RCVS‑accredited Hospital in Leicester! Inpatient or Surgical interests can be supported.

The Team
This role is ideally suited both to someone eager to work across all GP areas and will involve consulting and operating in equal measure, with the ability to offer a bias towards Inpatient care or Surgery if desired. We offer referral, OOH and advanced services, but we equally champion our primary care vets and the fantastic service we offer for routine and first‑opinion caseloads.
What we are looking for?
* RCVS registration and a minimum of 2 years general practice experience.
* Ability to perform routine neutering (cats and dogs of all sizes) without support – including FLANK cat spays.
* Ability to perform abdominal ultrasound, TFAST and AFAST imaging without support.
* Ability to perform exploratory laparotomies, splenectomies, GDVs, gastrotomies and enterotomies without support.
* Confidence with routine consults in 15 minutes and routine dental cases.
