The Role
To deliver Premier League Primary Stars, Physical Education in Primary Schools to a wide range of local schools and participants, in line with the Education and Charity strategic vision.
Responsibilities
* Delivery shall be at set schools through the week along with delivering one off events and short-term programmes.
* To develop ways to recruit new schools to engage with PL Primary Stars.
* To drive further income by recruiting schools to take part in other areas of PL Primary Stars.
* Take responsibility for co-ordinating curriculum areas of the PL Primary Stars Programme.
* To build relationships with local organisations (School Sports Partnerships) to add value to the Primary Stars programme.
* To be a second point of contact for the Premier League Charitable Fund School Programmes Executive.
* Support the Education Manager to quality assure PL Primary Stars.
* To support the delivery and development of multiple national awareness days (e.g. World Book Day, Black History Month, Anti-Bullying Week, Power of Youth #iwillweek, World Poetry Day).
* Drive and co-ordinate PL Primary Stars Curriculum programmes in schools, undertake PL training and feedback to education team.
* To support the Education Manager to develop and continually review BFCitC PL Primary Stars curriculum.
* Liaise with the Education Manager to monitor delivery against targets and ensure that targets are achieved.
* Assist the Education Manager in preparation of the bi-annual Premier League report.
* Take responsibility for the delivery of the Premier League Primary Stars programme within a designated cohort of schools, on behalf of BFCitC.
* To ensure meticulous planning is conducted prior to each session, with considerations for individuals’ needs and requirements.
* To deliver the highest possible quality of sporting sessions to a wide range of participants with varying abilities and in different environments, including:
* National Curriculum Physical Education
* Extra-Curricular Sessions
* Soccer Schools and Holiday Camps
* Whole School Assemblies
* Recreational Sport Sessions
* Educational sessions (Literacy, Numeracy and PSHE workshops).
* To continuously evaluate the success / standards of own work and that of others, through reflection and analysis.
* To monitor and evaluate progress/impact of provision, reporting to key funders in a timely and effective manner (including use of registers and the Salesforce platform).
* Ensure the safety and welfare of all stakeholders before, during and after each session.
* Undertake any other duties appropriate to this role and work flexible/unusual hours as required.
* Work towards agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and comply with the Charity’s safeguarding policy and guidelines.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* NGB Level 2 Certificate in any sport.
* Level 1 or 2 Sports Coaching Award in a second or multiple sports.
* Level 3 Certificate in Supporting PE and School Sport (AfPE) or equivalent.
* L3/4 HLTA with PE Specialism or equivalent.
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Safeguarding.
* First Aid.
* Five GCSEs at grade C or above.
* Relevant training for working with young people.
* A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area of work.
* Experience of working on football/sport-based projects.
* Experience of working in a school setting.
* A passion for sport and the community.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to monitor, evaluate and assess project performance.
* Excellent IT skills, including intermediate abilities in MS Office.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
