UV Field Service Engineer – UK (Water & Wastewater)
45 Hours per Week | Field-Based | Nationwide Travel
We are seeking an experienced UV Field Service Engineer to commission, service and maintain UV disinfection systems across UK water and wastewater treatment sites.
This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to experienced electro-mechanical engineers who are confident working in live industrial environments and travelling extensively across the UK.
The Role
Commission, service, and maintain UV disinfection systems
Carry out advanced electrical and mechanical fault finding
Diagnose and resolve issues within control panels, instrumentation and PLC-controlled systems
Support breakdown response and planned preventative maintenance
Produce detailed technical service reports using digital systems
Liaise professionally with site operators, engineers and client representatives
Work safely within operational water treatment environments
Regular UK travel and frequent overnight stays are required. Flexibility is essential.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer (electro-mechanical background)
Strong electrical fault-finding capability
Mechanical service and maintenance experience
Industrial environment experience (water sector desirable)
Strong technical problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience producing technical service reports
Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and online service platforms
Strong health & safety awareness
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel extensively and stay away during the week
