Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

Full time - approx 6 months temporary cover
Pay:
£12.21ph, overtime rate is £16.28 for any hours worked over 40 hours in a week
Hours:
40 hours/week
Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm, plus Saturdays (9.00am-5.00pm) and Sundays (10.00am-4.00pm) on a rota basis
Responsibilities:
Picking orders, recording and checking stock, collating paperwork, yard picking
Loading customers orders directly into their vehicles and preparing order to be delivered directly to farms
Dealing with customers face to face in a professional manner
Placing all incoming goods in an organised and efficient manner, and identifying stock anomalies and taking appropriate action
Storing chemicals and hazardous goods in the correct manner
Operating a forklift truck whilst adhering to requisite Health and Safety standards
Participating in any duties in the interests of Health & Safety, including COSHH compliance, Spillage clean-up, and safe manual handling
Requirements:
Able to carry out a manual handling role, and be able to lift 25kg in a safe manner
Strong work ethic with a reliable and punctual approach
Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or agricultural setting (desirable)
Able to drive a
Counterbalance Forklift, with appropriate valid licence/s (highly desirable)
Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
Able to memorise stock locations
Professional towards supporting customers needs
Able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment
