Teacher of Science About us Alpha Learning Staffordshire Limited Alpha Learning is a small Independent School that has recently gained its Ofsted registration. We cater for KS3 and KS4 students who have struggled previously and require some intervention to be able to return to mainstream. We are seeking to employ a teacher (Qualified) of Science who has a good subject knowledge and can deliver BTEC/GCSE Science at KS4, along with KS3 science. You will also plan, resource, and deliver a second subject—such as Humanities, Citizenship, or PSHE—depending on your strengths and school need. Our small class sizes (maximum of 10 students per group) and strong pastoral focus allow you to build meaningful relationships and make a genuine impact on learners who may have complex needs It is desirable that you have prior experience working with students with social and emotional and Mental health needs, a working knowledge of SEN would be beneficial. You will have a strong awareness of safeguarding and be prepared to become familiar with and follow the policies of the independent school. Essential Qualities Be a dynamic and inspirational classroom teacher. Resilient and well humoured, who can respond well to a challenge. Organised and timely planning and reporting. Be able to manage students with a range of abilities in a small classroom environment. Be able to work within a small close-knit team.
