Job description
A growing contractor within the ICP and renewables space is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the delivery and maintenance of nationwide projects across Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar PV, and high voltage infrastructure (11kV-132kV). This is a permanent position offering long-term progression and the opportunity to join a forward-thinking business at the forefront of the clean energy transition.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the operational delivery of installation and maintenance works on private networks
2. Managing solar and BESS projects, ensuring timely and safe execution across multiple sites
3. Leading and developing a national operations team, reporting into the Operations Director
4. Acting as a key point of contact for clients, with regular involvement in project and commercial meetings
5. Managing contracts, budgets, resources, and risk in line with business objectives
6. Driving HSEQ compliance, workforce productivity, and continuous improvement
Job Requirements:
7. Strong background in operations management within the power, utilities, or renewable energy sectors
8. Technical knowledge of BESS, solar, and high voltage infrastructure up to 132kV
9. Proven experience managing field-based operational teams across multiple live sites
10. Excellent client-facing and leadership skills, with a proactive and solution-focused approach
11. Familiarity with ICP processes, NERS, CDM regulations, and relevant HSEQ frameworks
12. Flexibility to travel across the UK as required but remain local to the office in Yorkshire

13. £70,000-£80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
