We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while preparing and serving a variety of beverages and light food items. Duties
* Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
* Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or baked goods as required.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of work.
* Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and processing payments using point-of-sale systems.
* Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service.
* Keep the work area clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout shifts.
* Assist in opening or closing procedures as needed, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies.
* Engage with customers in a friendly manner to create a welcoming environment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is desirable.
* Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy.
* Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
* Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* A genuine passion for coffee, beverages, and delivering excellent customer experiences is highly valued.
