The Company
Offering top quality fusion dining in a fast-paced, buzzing and stunningly designed environment, this global company of respected brands is about to start an accelerated growth plan of international openings. A Global Openings General Manager is required to lead in management of resource, meeting task timelines, pre-opening financial mapping, recruitment, training, site development and handover of site.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years in a senior management role within a luxury high-end brand. Must showcase a substantial background in managing upscale establishments, indicating a deep understanding of industry standards. Yearly revenue generation of £7-10 million. Ideally, have opened large scale restaurant(s) from pre to post opening, 150+ covers, multi-use space with a staffing level of 120 or more. Have run or been a part of operations in multiple countries.
* Adaptability: Role requires the ability to react swiftly. Supporting an open and functioning venue to long stays, up to 3 months, in one city for pre to post opening support. Must have the ability to travel at short notice for long periods.
* People Management: Strong people management skills and experience leading a team highlight the importance of leadership in this role. The ability to motivate and drive the team is crucial for maintaining high standards and a positive work environment.
* Financial Management: Sound financial management skills, including support of building pre-opening forecasted budgets, forecasted venue budgets and cross training incoming management.
* Lifestyle Brand Familiarity: Familiar with the lifestyle brand concepts, including entertainment, live music, and events.
* Passion for Hospitality: A passion for hospitality and customer service aligns with they brand’s mission of providing a unique and impactful dining experience.
* Communication & Relationship Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, are essential for effective communication and within the team, business partners, with guests, and with higher management. The ability to build strong relationships at all levels, including with guests, indicates a focus on customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
* Operational Efficiency: A sound understanding of processes and operational efficiency suggests a focus on streamlining operations to enhance overall performance. Strong background in implementing structure, process, SOPs and holding the team to account for learning and following these guidelines.
* Problem-Solving & Pressure Management Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to identify and develop solutions, showcase the candidate's ability to address challenges that may arise in hitting target deadlines to open a venue on time. The ability to work under pressure and excellent time management skills highlight the candidate's capacity to handle the demands of opening venues.
