Job Purpose
Minimum of 6 months. Full-time hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday. Working hours: 08:50 am - 4:50 pm.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with a team of Podiatrists, healthcare professionals, organisations, and agencies to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care.
2. Supervise and delegate podiatry services delivered by support staff, including junior clinicians and Podiatry Assistants, and mentor students during placements.
3. Participate in CLCH clinical rotations within the podiatry service, aligned with individual development and service needs.
4. Coordinate with Highly Specialist Clinicians for referrals and guidance as appropriate.
5. Engage actively in the CLCH Podiatry band 6 rotational programs.
6. Assess and diagnose patients autonomously, managing a range of medical and podiatric conditions using appropriate techniques and tools, including lesion debridement, local anaesthesia, nail surgery, and caustic treatments.
7. Create and implement tailored treatment and care plans for diverse patient groups, focusing on primary foot pathologies, including high-risk and at-risk categories.
8. Participate in specialist clinics such as Biomechanics, Wound Care, and Nail Surgery clinics, as part of CPD and rotation programs.
9. Recommend the use of a limited number of prescription medicines.
