Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to be physically fit and capable of managing the demands of the job.
Duties
* Drive a van to deliver goods to designated locations.
* Load and unload items, ensuring that all products are handled with care.
* Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
* Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and best practices is preferred.
* Experience in heavy lifting and handling large items is essential.
* A valid driver's licence is required, with a clean driving record.
* Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.
* Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus.
