We are seeking an experienced and dynamic KS2 Lead Teacher to join our supportive primary school in Greenhithe, Kent, starting September 2025. Responsibilities
* Lead and support the KS2 team to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
* Oversee the KS2 curriculum, ensuring it is engaging and appropriately challenging.
* Monitor student progress and use data to inform teaching strategies.
* Promote best practices and professional development among staff.
* Mentor KS2 teachers, supporting lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management.
* Create an inclusive, positive learning environment that fosters student ownership and love of learning.
* Communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
* Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school improvement plan.
* Lead innovative projects within KS2 and ensure their effective implementation.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching KS2 with proven student outcomes.
* Leadership experience or a strong desire to lead.
* Understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum and assessment methods.
* Excellent communication and motivational skills.
* Commitment to fostering a supportive environment for children’s academic and social-emotional development.
* Proactive leadership and willingness to contribute to school development.
* Dedication to ongoing professional growth.
