Description Kea is a very successful and highly regarded school. Our committed and motivated team constantly strives to improve outcomes for its learners. We place positive relationships at the heart of all we do at Kea, and pupil and staff wellbeing is of paramount importance to our success. We believe that working in education is the best job in the world and can be as rewarding as it is challenging. We look after our team and recognise their hard work towards meeting those challenges. We have a proactive staff wellbeing lead and all policy and procedural decisions are subject to a workload impact assessment before being agreed. We offer as many wellbeing ‘perks’ as we are able to, and the governors and leadership team are committed to ensuring that all of our staff feel looked after. We are looking for caring, committed, experienced KS2 class teacher to join our school on a permanent 0.4 basis, with the position to commence in September 2026. For an application pack please email Sharon Lamerton, School Administrator – slamerton@kea.cornwall.sch.uk Because of the restrictive timescale between closing date and interview, we would like to inform you of the structure of the interview day now, so that you can be as prepared as possible if you are shortlisted. We have taken the timescale into account when planning the process to try and reduce the need for preparation prior to the interview day. The day will include: - An interview with the headteacher, a member of the leadership team and a school governor. Please be ready to share some lessons or units of work you have taught that you feel have had the most impact - A 10 minute assembly to a group of KS2 children on the theme ‘Individual Liberty’ or ‘Tolerance’ - A lesson planning task (no preparation required) - An interview with our Pupil Voice representatives Closing date for applications is midnight on Monday 18 May 2026 and interviews will take place on Thursday 21st May 2026. We are committed to safeguarding children, and the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will be assessed against the Childcare Disqualification Regulations.
